There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for wealth is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life. It is your spiritual birthright to enjoy abundance. Abundance is Who You Are[1]. You have an innate longing at work within you to experience fully all aspects of Who You Are – including the experience of wealth. Most of us were raised believing that to be poor is somehow virtuous. In that belief you have dismissed your desire for wealth believing that somehow you are abnormal. Now is the time to discard that belief. To continue to deny your true spiritual self and your experience of abundance is abnormal and contrary to Who You Are.

As human, you are a three part BEing— body, mind and soul. Of these three, one is of the physical universe, while the other two are of your non-physical, spiritual universe. You live in a physical universe. To do so comfortably, requires money. In order to have money, one of your primary objectives must be the study of the science of getting rich. Personal growth requires a discipline of self-development. To be successful in the science of getting rich, you must unfold your soul and discover your talents. The object of all life is development; everything that lives has an inalienable right to the full development that it is capable of attaining. You must expand your spiritual awareness and in doing so your life purpose will arise.

Your right to life means that you have the free and unrestricted use of all things that are necessary for the development of your ultimate mental, spiritual, and physical experience. In other words, you have the right to be rich. Abundance is yours for the asking– or better said, your creation. To be really rich is to experience the true nature and beauty of life. It is to experience yourself as wise, powerful, and worthy. As a spiritual being you are of the Energy of God. In your highest expression of Self, you are of the ultimate Essence of Wisdom, Power and Value. Your experience of abundance is the result of your personal expression of these divine qualities. It is our innate nature to seek a greater and greater experience of happiness. Those who enjoy success in this endeavor are those who understand and utilize the universal Causal Truth Principles. For these persons, the result is not only joy and serenity, but abundance as well.

The Science of Getting Rich……. The Application of the Universal Causal Truth Principles

The strategies that are interwoven throughout this timeless classic are based on my interpretation of the works of Thomas Michael Powell. These strategies are presented to augment the original work, “The Science of Getting Rich”. Consider these strategies as the application guidebook to accompany the original. As was the original, this book will remain a pragmatic manual. Minimal spiritual or metaphysical theory, readily available elsewhere,[1] will not be presented here. A background in spiritual concepts (as opposed to religious[2]) may be helpful. However, since we live in a world where accidents and coincidences do not exist, if this book has found its way to your hands, you are ready to receive this information.

It is expected that the reader will take the fundamental statements upon faith, just as she would take statements concerning a law of the physical universe promulgated by a reputable scientist; and, taking the statements upon faith, she will prove their truth by acting upon them without fear or hesitation. Every man or woman who does this will certainly experience wealth; for the science herein applied is an exact science, and failure is impossible. For those of you who will doubt these truths, you are encouraged to investigate everything that will be presented here. Throughout this book you will find references to other authorities for your educational, philosophical, and spiritual investigation. Even so, for ease of understanding, those theories upon which this book is based, are summarized here:

1)      All that exists is energy. The monistic theory of the universe, the theory that One is All, and that All is One; that one ENERGY[3] manifests itself as the seeming many elements of the material world is of  Hindu origin.  It is the foundation of many spiritual philosophies including the “Conversations With God” series by Neale Donald Walsch.

2)      You live in two universes:

a.       Physical Universe: You have physical experiences which are your perceptions, sensations of anything in the physical universe. You live in the physical universe of the five senses.

b.      The Non-physical, spiritual Universe: Your spiritual universe is your perception of everything that is non-physical. It includes everything that occurs in your mind such as thoughts, ideas, plans, memories, desires, knowledge, intuition, creativity and all your emotions.

Consider this book a primer on the Causal Truth Principles of Life, introduced within the context of the classic, “The Science of Getting Rich”. In the style of the original work, this text maintains its plainness and simplicity of style, so that all might understand these universal principles. The plan of action laid down herein is the roadmap of how life works. Though this book will limit itself to the application of financial abundance, these same actions apply to all areas of life. To lead a life of not only financial richness but of wealth of spirit, health and joy, read this book, invite its message into your being, and do exactly as it tells you.

Preface

This book is a pragmatic guide to wealth. It is based on the original classic, The Science of Getting Rich, originally authored by Wallace D. Wattles. This new work has been updated to provide you with even more specific actions to achieve wealth. It is intended for the men and women whose most pressing need is for money; who wish to first experience financial wealth and then more fully explore their relationship with the realm of the infinite afterward.

Recently I have come to realize that the creation of wealth has been a negative factor in my life. By that I mean that every action, even those based in creativity, had been influenced- positively and negatively – by a desire for wealth. Example: Initially, I began writing as a creative endeavor of self-expression of a spiritual message that defined my passion. After awhile, the need for money began to have its influence. A once creative expression led me to ask myself questions such as – Is this productive? How will this bring me money? How will I market this? What began as a creative expression of Self, became a source and reminder of scarcity. I began to recognize this when I asked myself this simple question – If I was a billionaire, how would my experience as writer change? Would I have a need to rush the process? Would I experience anxiety on how best to tailor my message for maximum acceptance? Would I worry about production and distribution costs? These sobering realizations left me with two choices:

1)      Give in to my negative emotional energies of anxiety and fear and produce a product that didn’t fully recognize my message or

2)      Honor Who I Am, acknowledging my birthright to abundance, using the spiritual laws of Life, and Attraction to create my own reality.

I have chosen the latter. In order to create a new reality it became necessary to abandon the illusion of lack. Intuition and trust in a benevolent universe is critical. The ability to suspend belief in the ‘illusion’ that appears before you, in favor of dreams and magic, that may at first only exist in your imagination. And that, my friends, is what this book is about. It is a guidebook on how life works and how you can create the life of your dreams.

Just as there are laws that control the physical universe, there are also laws that control the spiritual, non-physical universe. These laws control all non-physical phenomena which include: consciousness, mind, thought, emotion, intelligence, creativity, manifestation, suffering, wisdom, love, relationships, and happiness. All of these are non-physical energies that occur to you irrelevant of the body. Critical to your happiness is the study of the nature of the human spirit. This begins with the study the Laws of Creation. As spirit, you create your own reality, therefore the study of the universal Causal Truth principles is the study of YOU.

Who Are You?

In your highest essence, you are a non-physical, life energy complex consisting of Will, Consciousness, Intelligence and Love.  You are a spirit. You are a spiritual being residing temporarily in human form in order to be able to play, and to create, in this physical universe. 

Your energy essence is will, consciousness and love.  You are a center of perception and experience, with the power, will and ability to control that experience— when you know how.  Although you are temporarily “plugged into” a human body, you never cease to be a spirit. Just as your body is subject to the laws of the physical universe, you, as spirit, are subject to the laws of a non-physical, spiritual universe from which you come.
